AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné appeared alongside Athena at an independent wrestling show in Texas on Saturday night.
Moné made a surprise visit to the ‘Who Runs The World?’ all-women’s event, which Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena presented under the Metroplex Wrestling (MPX) banner in Bedford.
During the show, Moné joined her former rival Athena in the ring. The two spoke about the significance of the all-women’s event before performing Moné’s signature “CEO” dance for the crowd.

The appearance follows a recent alliance on AEW programming. On this past week’s Dynamite, Athena attempted to aid Billie Starkz in a four-way title eliminator match. This drew out AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, followed by Moné, who confronted the match winner, Alex Windsor.
Both champions have title matches scheduled for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London, England. Moné is set to defend the TBS Championship against Windsor, while Athena will challenge Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
