Momo Watanabe defeated AZM on Saturday to win the 2025 Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix tournament.

The event took place at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.

The final, which lasted just over 21 minutes, concluded when Watanabe hit her Peach Thunder finishing move to secure the victory. The two competitors are former tag team partners in the Queen’s Quest stable.

To reach the final, Watanabe defeated Saori Anou in the Blue Stars block final, while AZM was victorious over Rina in the Red Stars block final.

This marks the first 5STAR Grand Prix victory for Watanabe, who previously reached the tournament final in 2021, where she lost to Syuri. The win earns her a title match for the World of Stardom Championship.

The current World of Stardom Champion is Saya Kamitani, who is scheduled to defend her title against Bea Priestley.

Also on the card, Sareee retained the IWGP Women’s Championship by defeating Konami. In another title match, Hina successfully defended the Future of Stardom Championship against Ranna Yagami.

The event drew a sell-out crowd of 2,856 fans.
