A pair of major unannounced appearances helped earn Shotzi Blackheart a win over Matt Cardona at Saturday night’s GCW Homecoming Weekend card in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Returning GCW star Nick Gage, along with recent WWE departures Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux, made run-ins during the match, leading to a pinfall victory for Blackheart to win the Garage Beer World Championship.

Both Blackheart and Cardona saw numerous talents come to the ring as part of the bout. Mance Warner hit the ring in support of Cardona, only to get taken out by former Cardona ally Jimmy Lloyd.

The crowd shot up to their feet after hearing Nick Gage’s music. But, it was a false alarm. Dressed up as the deathmatch sensation was Tommy Invincible, who came to the ring to help out Cardona.

But Cardona and Invincible both became nervous once they realized that Gage’s music was playing once again. This time, it was the real deal.

Gage hit the ring to take them both out, then handed Blackheart a pizza cutter to use on Cardona.

Cardona had one more trick up his sleeve, but it would end up backfiring. A long line of disguised men came to the ring, which Blackheart had to take out one by one. The hope was that these run-ins would tire Blackheart.

But one of the last disguised talents hit Cardona with a low blow. Then, after taking off their costume, it was revealed that Kross and Bordeaux were the attackers.

Kross drove Cardona through a door, then Blackheart scored a senton off the top rope for the win.

Saturday marked Kross’ first appearance in GCW since announcing that both his and Bordeaux’s WWE deals had expired earlier this month. His first post-WWE in-ring bookings first started to get out just this week, getting announced for WrestlePro, Defy, and House of Glory in the coming weeks.

Kross has previously wrestled for GCW with appearances dating back to 2019. He worked the Wrestlemania weekend Bloodsport card near the tail-end of his WWE run, beating JR Kratos in a singles bout.

Gage hasn’t appeared in a GCW match in over a year. He hadn’t been seen in the promotion in over a year, noting last October that he had parted ways with the brand.
