Roman Reigns got his revenge on Bronson Reed in the opening match of WWE Clash in Paris but left the arena on a stretcher.
After the win, as Paul Heyman tended to the defeated Reed, Reigns entered the ring to retrieve his stolen shoes. Heyman handed them over but then was locked in a guillotine.
Reigns then signed and tossed the shoes into the sea of fans, but took a huge spear from Bron Breakker.
As Reigns was tended to, Breakker delivered another spear and rolled Reigns into the ring. Reed then hit a Tsunami.
Reigns was strapped to a stretcher, but Reed delivered yet another Tsunami. This brought Jey Uso out to help as a sea of security flooded the ring.
This was not enough to stop Reed from delivering a third Tsunami to Reigns, who was finally left to be stretchered out.
A furious Adam Pearce later ejected Reed and Breakker from the arena, seemingly leaving Seth Rollins without help in the show’s main event.
Earlier, Reed came to the ring alongside Heyman. Reigns was out second, to a thunderous reaction from the raucous La Défense Arena crowd.
After the bell, the match got off to a very slow start as the opponents played to the extremely vocal crowd.
In the early going, Reigns had issues with Reed’s size and weight, unable to knock him down and collapsing during a Samoan drop attempt.
This led to a prolonged period of dominance by Reed, so much so that he tried to remove Reigns’ shoes during the match. This led to a rally by Reigns but a Superman punch was countered.
Soon after, a pair of Superman punches floored Reed but only for a near-fall.
Reigns then rolled away from a Tsunami attempt in the nick of time.
A Samoan drop from the second rope, followed by a spear, sealed the win for Reigns.
The recent rivalry between Reigns and Reed had centered on the repeated theft of Reigns’ sneakers.
The first incident occurred on the July 28, 2025, edition of Monday Night Raw. Following a beatdown from both Reed and Bron Breakker, Reed took the opportunity to remove and steal Reigns’ Jordan sneakers while he was down in the ring.
One week later, on the August 4 Raw, the scenario repeated itself. After another chaotic brawl involving multiple wrestlers, Reed once again left Reigns shoeless, adding a second pair of his sneakers to his collection.
Reed took to wearing the sneakers around his neck, dubbing them his “Shoe-la Fala”.
