Seth Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship in the fatal four-way main event of WWE Clash in Paris – with a little help from his wife.

A masked Becky Lynch delivered a low blow to CM Punk, allowing Rollins to hit a decisive stomp and retain the title.

Rollins was left without his Vision faction after the events of the opening match, which saw Paul Heyman taken to hospital, and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed ejected from the arena.

Before the match, Jackie Redmond asked Rollins how he was going to manage without Heyman, Breakker and Reed, who were all gone from the arena. Rollins said if he could not keep the title on his own, he did not deserve it.

Uso was first out, which, as the commentators noted, gave him time to recover from his energy-sapping entrance. Jey was taped up from his attempt to help Roman Reigns in the event opener.

Knight came out next, followed by CM Punk and finally Rollins. All the competitors got great reactions from the crowd.

After the bell, Punk tossed Uso from the ring, and Rollins lurked outside as LA Knight and Punk went at it.

A few minutes in, and the three babyfaces briefly joined forces to attack Rollins. As they cooperated, Punk yelled, “Jey, get the tables!” However, as soon as the table was set up at ringside, Uso superkicked Punk and then Knight before brawling with Rollins in the crowd.

The action soon returned to the ring, where every competitor took turns to stop one another from grabbing a pinfall.

This was followed by a period with Rollins out of action on the outside, and CM Punk dominating but unable to secure a pinfall.

As Rollins re-entered the fray, he and Punk tried to put each other through the table that was set up earlier. In the end, Knight knocked Punk into the table, but it did not break, leaving Punk having to sell a glancing blow.

Knight then managed to get Rollins onto the French announce table but Seth rolled off as Knight delivered a leaping elbow.

This left Rollins and Uso in the ring, where the champion countered a spear into a Pedigree, but only for a near-fall.

The momentum swung back to Jey, but his pinning attempt was stopped by Punk. Punk then hit the GTS on Jey but took a stomp as he went for the pin.

Rollins then hit stomps to Uso and Knight on the outside, effectively taking them out of the match. He then wrapped a chair around Punk in the ring.

As he went for the stomp, Punk escaped and hit a GTS. As Punk went for a decisive second GTS, Lynch ran in and delivered the low blow, allowing Rollins to win with a stomp.

Rollins and Lynch celebrated with a kiss as the show ended.
