NBC Sports president Rick Cordella responded to WWE’s on-air thank you at Clash in Paris.
WWE is set to move its premium live events in the United States from Peacock to ESPN this month, beginning with Wrestlepalooza. The move comes before their streaming deal was set to expire in March 2026, but the sides carved out an agreement where the PLEs could move early, while NBC will make Saturday Night’s Main Event exclusive to Peacock and continue to stream the NXT premium live events through March.
During Clash in Paris, Michael Cole issued a thank you to Peacock and named Cordella during the on-air mention.
Cordella responded with his own message on X and thanking WWE, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and Stephanie McMahon.
And a big thank you to @WWE Nick Khan, @TripleH and @StephMcMahon for taking a chance on Peacock 5 years ago, as we were just launching.
But it’s not goodbye. We’re excited to stay a partner of the WWE, with must-watch, Saturday Night Main Events for years to come. https://t.co/klTGmOpbgr

WWE and Peacock entered into a five-year agreement in 2021, which saw the upstart streamer license the U.S. rights for the WWE Network, including the monthly premium live events.
