Quinton “Rampage” Jackson spoke at length about the recent incident involving his son, Raja, and independent wrestler Syko Stu at a Knokx Pro Wrestling show.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion was a guest on The Ariel Helwani Show and conveyed his disappointment and anger with his son over his handling of the incident last month in Sun Valley, California.
After being struck by a beer bottle backstage by Syko Stu (Stuart Smith), the wrestler apologized to Jackson, and it was agreed they would work an angle into the show where Jackson would “get his lick in” on Stu. Fellow wrestler AJ Mana is seen on Jackson’s live stream, encouraging Jackson to get “a receipt” in the ring with Stu over the beer can incident. When Jackson stormed the ring, he lifted and slammed Stu, who appeared unconscious after the maneuver. Jackson proceeded to land in excess of twenty-one unanswered blows, causing Stu to be hospitalized.

Quinton took issue with Stu failing to address the situation and acknowledge that the run-in was planned rather than Raja storming the ring impromptu. He also made accusations that Stu was exaggerating the extent of his injuries for his GoFundMe campaign, based on information relayed, along with other instances he had heard of Stu being drunk at wrestling shows. However, at the end of the chat, Jackson wished Stu a full recovery and gave a message to his family.
Quinton said there were multiple people to blame, but stated the most was reserved for his son, who should not have acted the way he did.
Quinton is assisting his son with legal fees and is accepting that his son may have to go to jail, but denies that Raja was trying to murder Stu and that his attack shouldn’t be classified as attempted murder.
The fallout has led to multiple threats being issued to Quinton and his other children, blaming Quinton for the incident and subjecting him to racism. Due to his anger over his son’s actions, Quinton said he is currently not speaking with Raja.
Raja has not been arrested or charged yet for the August 23 attack on Stu, but the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the issue.
