An exhibition bout between Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been announced for 2026.

Details are scarce beyond the initial announcement by CSI Sports/Fight Sports, who will stage the event next spring, although no date or location is listed, or a broadcast outlet.

A press release was issued on Thursday containing quotes from the fighters and a graphic, promoting the bout as “Legend vs. Legends” with logos for Mike Tyson Promotions and Mayweather Promotions.

Despite nearing sixty years of age, Tyson’s nostalgia has drawn significantly over the past five years, involving fights with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020 on pay-per-view and Jake Paul last November on Netflix.

Mayweather, 48, has not had a professional boxing fight since defeating Conor McGregor in August 2017, but has taken part in many exhibition fights. His opponents in these exhibitions include Tenshin Nasukawa, Logan Paul, Aaron Chalmers, and John Gotti III.

Both have participated in past WrestleMania events, with Tyson serving as a referee in 1998 between Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin, and Mayweather Jr. wrestling Big Show in 2008.

Tyson was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2012.
