CMLL, the world’s oldest wrestling promotion, presents its 92nd Aniversario event tonight from Arena México.

The promotion is in the middle of an incredible business period with routine sell-outs on Fridays at the famous venue. The current run CMLL is on will be an incredible punctuation mark on the legacy of Místico, who has led the charge and enshrined himself as one of the top draws of his generation.

The show has received added attention through the involvement of MJF, winning the CMLL world light heavyweight title on August 1, and placing the title against the mask of Místico. It’s led to more cross-promotion on AEW broadcasts, directing people toward the match.

The weekend will be a taxing one for several performers as MJF, Máscara Dorada, and Hechicero will wrestle on tonight’s show and immediately head to Toronto for All Out on Saturday afternoon.

The main event will feature a 1-on-1 match between the winners of the Relevos Suicidas match, involving Averno & Último Guerrero vs. Bárbaro Cavernario & Dragón Rojo Jr. vs. Valiente & Esfinge.

A win by either Averno & Guerrero or Cavernario & Rojo Jr. results in a Hair vs. Hair contest between the partners and the large stakes of a Mask vs. Mask contest if Valiente and Esfinge prevail.

This will close the show and no doubt, achieve a level of heat that few, if any, matches will come close to this year. The emotional peak that these types of matches reach on an Aniversario card is second to none, especially if it’s a mask up for grabs.

The eight-match show will also be available on Triller TV, with Veda Scott & Miguel Castro scheduled to call the English-language broadcast, while also offering a Spanish version for $19.99. The alternative way to stream the show is to subscribe to the top tier of CMLL’s YouTube channel, which is approximately $29 for the full month and includes the weekly Friday shows and Saturday shows from Arena Coliseo among its offerings.

The lineup rounds out with Rey Bucanero and Felino putting up their hair, the final of the Copa Independencia with Titán & Templario facing Barboza & Difunto, and a Trios contest consisting of Atlantis Jr., Máscara Dorada, and Neón facing Hechicero, Volador Jr. & Zandokan.

There will be two title matches as CMLL tag champs Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja a.k.a. Los Nuevos Ingoberbales will defend against Villano III Jr. & Hijo del Villano III. The champions have held the titles since January 2022 and will surpass Negro Casas & Shocker as the longest reigning champions of all-time if they extend their reign past Friday.

The opening match will be a CMLL Women’s tag title defense as Lluvia & La Jarochita defend against Persephone & Reyna Isis. These belts were introduced two years ago and have been impacted with several vacancies after the departures of Stephanie Vaquer to WWE, and Tessa Blanchard to TNA.
