MJF got his comeuppance in a bloody tables and tacks match at the hands of Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out.
Mark Briscoe wasted no time in covering the mat with two buckets full of tacks.
Wearing a ‘White Collar Wins’ tank top, MJF seemed reluctant to enter the ring at first, but soon got the better of Briscoe with a series of brutal-looking moves.
This included an Alabama slam into the tacks, having his forehead driven into them, several back body drops, and taking a punch after having his mouth stuffed with tacks.
MJF got his first real taste of the tacks with a big back body drop and then a powerslam.
There were so many tacks on the ring surface that the competitors appeared to slip at times.
Pressing the advantage, Briscoe, who had tacks visibly stuck in the back of his head, put MJF through a table twice.
Briscoe then grabbed a chair covered in tacks (sharp side out) from under the ring. Before he could wield it, MJF managed to get hold of it and use it against his opponent.
MJF then set up a table in the ring and emptied a fresh bag of tacks onto it. A powerbomb and then a piledriver attempt was countered, with the two fighting on the top turnbuckle.
After Briscoe managed to hit the Froggy Bow twice, first into the table, and then the Jay Driller, for the win.
