Komander’s first AEW appearance in months is set for this Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision.
In his first match under the AEW banner since June, Komander will challenge TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher at this weekend’s show inside the Marshall Health Network Arena in Huntington, West Virginia.
It was reported back in June that Komander suffered an injury after slipping on the ropes at a booking in Mexico. The setback not only pulled him from events surrounding AEW’s trip to Mexico this year, but kept him on the sidelines for months.
Word about a Komander return first started to get passed around last week, when the poster for an October 19 event in Reynosa, Mexico listed him as part of the lineup.
Fletcher will be trying to bounce back from his recent loss against AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page at AEW All Out. The Australian talent has defended his TNT title twice since first capturing it in July.
It was also announced Saturday that Eddie Kingston will wrestle his second match back on Saturday, teaming with Hook to face Big Bill and Bryan Keith.
Kingston wrestled his first match since May 2024 last weekend, defeating Big Bill in seven minutes. A post-match beatdown from Bill and Keith was broken up by Hook, causing the tag bout to be booked for this Saturday.
We also currently know that Saturday’s show will include an Acclaimed reunion, as Max Caster and Anthony Bowens will take on Swirl, the team of Blake Christian and Lee Johnson.
Jerry Lynn announced last week that he had booked a tag match involving Caster and Bowens, attempting to force the friends-turned-rivals to work together once again. We’ll see in just a few days if they’ll be able to do that.
Here’s a look at Saturday’s show thus far:
- Hook & Eddie Kingston vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith
- Max Caster & Anthony Bowens vs. Blake Christian & Lee Johnson
- Kyle Fletcher vs. Komander (TNT Championship)
