Since this article’s original publication, corrected viewership data for the September 23rd episode of WWE NXT has been released.

According to a report from Wrestlenomics, The CW network has confirmed that this week’s episode averaged 707,000 viewers. This figure was first reported by PWTorch. The key 18-49 demographic rating was 0.17.

The updated numbers indicate a smaller viewership decline from the prior week’s “Homecoming” special than initially reported. Overall viewership dropped by only four percent, and the 18-49 demographic rating was even week-over-week.

The original, lower figures that were the basis for this article’s initial analysis were provided by Programming Insider.

The follow-up to All Out saw AEW Dynamite hold a consistent viewership mark from the previous week.

The September 24 episode from Pittsburgh averaged 638,000 viewers and 187,000 viewers (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic, excluding viewership on HBO Max.

The show’s viewership dropped 4% from last week’s 8-10 p.m. ET portion of September to Remember and was essentially even in the 18-49 demographic from last week’s 188,000 viewers.

It ranked sixth among cable programs in prime time on Wednesday, although we don’t have the chart posted by Programming Insider yet.

Dynamite saw an 11% increase among males in the 18-49 demographic, with females dropping by 14%.

Adults 18-34 were identical to the prior week but also had a higher uptick among males, with a 15% difference, and women dropping by 10%.

Adults 35-49 declined by 3%, averaging 112,000 viewers.

Dynamite came off the All Out pay-per-view and included three championship matches and headlined by Kris Statlander defending the Women’s Championship against Mina Shirakawa.

NXT presented its final episode before No Mercy and returned to normal levels after its big Homecoming edition last week.

The September 23 edition averaged 617,000 viewers and 161,000 viewers (0.12) on CW.

The viewership fell by 16% and the 18-49 demographic dropped by 29% from the Homecoming show, which was NXT’s lowest figures since August 26.

In the 18-49 demographic, female viewership declined from 80,000 to 47,000 this week, and male viewership dropped from 155,000 to 114,000.

Adults 18-34 had a 0.07 rating over the two-hour portion and down from a 0.12 last week.

NXT aired against Dancing with the Stars on ABC (5,463,000 viewers and 1.02 in the demo), The Voice on NBC (5,425,000 and 0.41), High Potential on ABC (3,843,000 and 0.34), the WNBA playoffs on ESPN (1,464,000 and 0.27), and Major League Baseball on TBS (454,000 and 0.15) as its top competition.

The show featured a “Winner Take All” match between NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA Champion Trick Williams, with a “TNA Invasion” teased throughout the show and culminating in a show-ending brawl.
