Drew McIntyre lands role in “Highlander” remake alongside Dave Bautista

Drew McIntyre (Drew Galloway) has landed a major film role.

Deadline reports that the WWE reporter has been added to the cast of “Highlander”, which is set to be directed by Chad Stahelski and stars Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, and Dave Bautista.

McIntyre is set to play the role of Angus MacLeod, the brother of Cavill’s character, with filming to begin next year.

Bautista will play the lead villain in the film, ‘The Kurgen’.

McIntyre is being represented by Paradigm and Ziffren Brittenham.

Amazon MGM Studios’ United Artists is the listed distributor, and the cast includes Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Max Zhang.
