Zandokan Jr. is officially out of MLW’s Opera Cup after sustaining a recent knee injury.

The group has replaced Zandokan Jr. with Star Jr. for this Saturday’s quarterfinal match in the Opera Cup when he goes against Volador Jr at Slaughterhouse ’25.

The Lucha star blew out his knee on September 12 during a tag match with Difunto against Brodido at Arena México. However, Zandokan Jr. worked on the injured knee the following night, beating Bleu Panther Jr. in the opening round of the Opera Cup, and continued to wrestle through the CMLL Aniversario card on September 19.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Zandokan Jr. will be undergoing surgery.
