ROH World Champion Bandido announced he sustained a shoulder injury during a title defense on Friday.

The incident occurred during his match against Hechicero at CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular event at Arena Mexico.

In a post to his Instagram Stories, Bandido shared a photo of his arm in a sling and provided details on the injury.

Apologies to all the @cmll_mx fans. My shoulder popped out and then went back into place. Thank you, @reyhechicero, for being a gentleman; we owe our Mexican fans a third one.

The match, which Bandido won, was a rematch from ROH Death Before Dishonor in August. It marked the champion’s second victory over Hechicero.

As one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido, he and partner Brody King are scheduled to defend their titles against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada on this coming week’s Title Tuesday special episode of AEW Dynamite.

It is not currently known if the injury will impact the scheduled title defense. Bandido has a history of significant injuries, including a wrist issue that kept him out of action for more than a year and required two surgeries.
