A trio of crossover matchups have been confirmed for next week’s episode of NXT.
Three matchups have been revealed for NXT’s October 14 episode, including a matchup which will determine the next #1 contender for the show’s women’s title.
A battle royal will take place next week, with the winner earning a matchup against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne at Halloween Havoc on October 25. It was noted on the latest episode that there will be involvement from TNA’s Knockouts division, with General Manager Ava inviting Santino Marella to send his talents over for the bout.

In another TNA x NXT bout, Matt Cardona will take on Josh Briggs. Cardona got involved in Briggs’ match against Myles Borne last week, causing the heel talent to lose in 10 minutes. An irate Briggs called for a match against Cardona following the result, causing the bout to be added to the card.
It was also confirmed that AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. will make his NXT in-ring debut next week against Lexis King.
For weeks, Dr. Wagner Jr. has made it clear that he wants to face Ethan Page for his NXT North American Championship. But after getting provoked by King backstage on this week’s episode, he has some business to settle with the former Heritage Cup Champion before chasing Page’s belt.
