CMLL wrestler Zandokan Jr. announced on Thursday that he has undergone successful surgery on his knee.

The ten-year veteran was injured during a match at a CMLL event on September 12, where he and his stablemate Difunto lost to AEW’s Bandido & Brody King. Despite the injury, he competed in three more matches before the operation became necessary.

The injury also forced a change to Major League Wrestling’s Opera Cup 2025 tournament. Zandokan Jr. had already advanced to the quarterfinals but was replaced by Star Jr., who was subsequently eliminated by Volador Jr..

Zandokan Jr., a second-generation wrestler and member of the heel trio Galeon Fantasma, posted an update on social media following the procedure. “Thank God the operation was successful,” he wrote. “I’ll be back with you all soon!”.

No timeline has been announced for his return to competition.
