The TNA X-Division Championship match between champion Leon Slater and NXT’s Je’Von Evans at Bound for Glory ended without a conclusive finish after interference from NXT’s DarkState.

An initial non-finish occurred after the match’s initial 20-minute time limit expired, resulting in a draw, a decision that was met with chants of “bullshit” from the crowd. Director of Authority Santino Marella appeared and restarted the contest, adding five more minutes to the clock.

The highly-anticipated match featured fast-paced, back-and-forth action that drew “this is awesome” chants from the crowd before the competitors made contact.

The bout included numerous high-impact moves, with Evans hitting multiple springboard cutters and Slater connecting with a flying hangman’s neckbreaker. As the original time limit neared, the action spilled outside, where Evans performed a running dive over the barricade onto Slater in the crowd.

During the overtime period, Evans hit a Spanish Fly on Slater and went for a pin attempt, but the arena lights went out. When they returned, DarkState was in the ring and proceeded to attack both men, hitting each with a double-team powerbomb and forcing the referee to end the match.

The interference drew chants of “F-ck these guys” from the disappointed live audience.
