An eight-team bracket to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions is set.

The tournament, featuring a mix of established duos and newfound partnerships, is expected to officially kick off next week, AEW announced on Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite.

The first of four quarter-final matchups will see the team of former world champ Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata take on the Triangle of Madness’ Skye Blue and Julia Hart.

Hayter and Aminata won a four-way match on Wednesday, earning them a chance to pick their first-round opponents. They opted for Blue and Hart, whom they got a taste of during the aforementioned tag bout this week.

The decorated duo of TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will team up to take on Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron. Athena pitched Moné about working together this week, saying a tag reign could help further both of their belt-collecting goals.

In her first appearance since a feud against world champ Kris Statlander, Toni Storm will team up with partner Mina Shirakawa to take on Alex Windsor and Riho. An alliance between Windsor and Riho was formed earlier this year after the Joshi talent came to Windsor’s aid during a post-match attack by Moné.

The fourth and final quarter-final fight will see the teams of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford meet TayJay, Tay Melo and Anna Jay.

Here are the matchups set to begin as soon as seven days from now:

  • Queen Aminata & Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue & Julia Hart
  • Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron vs. Mercedes Moné & Athena
  • Alex Windsor & Riho vs. Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa
  • Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Tay Melo & Anna Jay
