NXT Champion Ricky Saints retained his title against Trick Williams in the main event of Saturday’s Halloween Havoc PLE.
Saints secured the victory after a finishing sequence that included a stunner, a spear, and a Tornado DDT for the pinfall.
The win came shortly after Williams nearly captured the title. Williams put Saints through the ringside announce table with a Book End. He rolled Saints back into the ring and delivered the Trick Shot knee, but the champion kicked out at two.

Both competitors exchanged high-impact moves and submission attempts. Williams hit two Book Ends for a nearfall and also applied a Boston Crab. Saints found an opening and locked in a crossface, but Williams managed to reach the ropes to break the hold.
Williams started the match aggressively, attacking Saints and dominating the opening minutes. He took the fight to the outside and cleared the announce table, which he used late in the match.
This marked the first successful title defense for Saints, who won the championship from Oba Femi at NXT No Mercy. The loss prevented Williams from becoming only the second three-time NXT Champion in the brand’s history.
