Two more title matches have been made official for AEW Full Gear.
Samoa Joe will get a second chance at capturing the AEW World Championship when he faces Hangman Adam Page at Full Gear on November 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Joe, who came up short against Page at WrestleDream earlier this month, secured a another shot against Page on Wednesday night after winning a four-way #1 contenders bout against Bobby Lashley, Hook, and Ricochet.
A win for Page would mark his sixth time defending the belt since first becoming champ back in July. Joe will be trying to obtain the top men’s title for the first time since April 2024, when his sole prior reign with the championship came to an end.
It was also confirmed on Wednesday that FTR will challenge Brodido for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
FTR got past The Young Bucks, Jurassic Express, and JetSpeed in a four-way #1 contenders match on Wednesday, earning them the pay-per-view opportunity.
If successful next month, FTR would join the Young Bucks as the only teams to have three separate reigns with AEW’s tag belts. Their last run is now a distant memory, taking place back in 2023.
Brodido have held the tag belts since August, when they dethroned The Hurt Syndicate in a three-way match. They have been quite active since then, defending the belts five times over a little more than a month.
We now know three bouts for AEW’s next PPV. It was previously confirmed that AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander will put her title on the line against Mercedes Moné. Here’s an updated look at the lineup:
- Bandido & Brody King vs. Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood (AEW World Tag Team Championships)
- Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné (AEW Women’s World Championship)
- Hangman Page vs. Samoa Joe (AEW World Championship)
