Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI have canceled a scheduled appearance for Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) on short notice.
The team, now competing as Los Tranquilos de Japon, was scheduled to appear in Limbach-Oberfrohna, Germany, on Saturday, November 15. The event is part of the promotion’s 25th anniversary tour.
In a statement, Naito and BUSHI apologized for the decision, citing “unfortunate circumstances.”
Due to various unfortunate circumstances, we have decided to withdraw from our scheduled appearance. We are truly sorry for any trouble this has caused to everyone involved, and we offer our sincere apologies.
wXw, one of Germany’s most prominent professional wrestling promotions, released a statement expressing its disappointment with the “last-minute cancellation.” The promotion noted that the agreement for this show was identical to one used for a successful appearance by the duo in September.
The company confirmed that fans who purchased meet-and-greet tickets will receive refunds. The promotion stated it still plans to deliver a “great evening” for attendees.
It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Los Tranquilos de Japon have decided not to appear in Limbach-Oberfrohna this Saturday.
We had agreed an identical deal to the one for Oberhausen in September and had already made arrangements to work together on further events.
Accordingly, both we and Stadthalle Limbach-Oberfrohna, as the event organisers, are very disappointed. We had already promoted the show and only issued the invoice the day before yesterday, so today’s last-minute cancellation is especially frustrating.
We still hope to be able to offer you a great evening tomorrow regardless. Meet & Greet tickets will be refunded via Eventim.
Naito and BUSHI departed New Japan Pro-Wrestling in May and have worked a limited number of international dates since. Their statement did not clarify if the “further collaborations” mentioned by wXw will proceed.
誠に遺憾な諸事情による出演取りやめを決定し、各方面にご迷惑と御心配をおかけしており申し訳ございません。謹んでお詫び申し上げます。 https://t.co/4fTBinlmRs
