TNA Wrestling is reportedly expected to announce a new US media rights deal by the end of 2025.
An exclusive report from Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI.com, citing “high-ranking television industry sources,” cited the end-of-year timeline. The report also identified AMC as a potential landing spot for TNA programming.
AMC, known for premium cable dramas like ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Walking Dead’, has not previously aired professional wrestling programming.
A move to AMC could represent a significant increase in reach for TNA. Wrestlenomics estimated in 2023 that TNA’s current home, AXS TV, was available in just over 30 million homes in the US. Industry estimates for AMC place its reach at around double that figure.
Other networks previously floated as TNA suitors include A&E and The CW. Both networks currently have affiliations with WWE. A&E airs WWE-produced documentaries, and The CW is the US broadcast home for NXT.
TNA President Carlos Silva has led the promotion’s search for a new media deal throughout 2025. Silva previously told The Takedown that he and Creative Artists Agency estimated the average annual value for TNA’s rights to be between $7 million and $10 million. While Silva had previously expressed hope of finalizing a deal by TNA Bound For Glory in October, that timeline did not materialize.
Silva stated in interviews this summer that the company was seeking a deal that would allow Impact to air live each week.
It is not known if a potential new deal would include live programming or a change from TNA’s current Thursday night slot.
A new US television deal would mark the latest chapter in TNA’s broadcast history. The company’s Impact program first aired on Fox Sports Net in 2004 before moving to Spike TV in 2005 for a nine-year run.
After departing Spike in 2014, the show had brief stays on Destination America, Pop, and the Pursuit Channel before moving to its current home on AXS TV in October 2019.
The search for a new domestic partner follows a successful year for TNA in securing international distribution. In January 2025, TNA programming moved to Sportsnet in Canada.
Earlier this month, the company announced a new media rights deal with Claro Sports to air its programming in Mexico and 16 other countries across Latin America.
