Nigel McGuinness vs. Lee Moriarty in Iron Man Match, LFI vs. Priest & Billington added to ROH Final Battle 2025

Lee Moriarty and Nigel McGuinness at ROH Final Battle 2024.

A rare Nigel McGuinness in-ring appearance will go down as part of next weekend’s ROH Final Battle card.

McGuinness will take on ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty in a non-title 30-minute Iron Man Match, as announced by the promotion on Friday. The bout is joining a busy card from the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio on December 5.

The matchup was made after McGuinness cut a promo on Moriarty recently. While he lost a Pure title contest to Moriarty at last year’s Final Battle card, McGuinness won a four-way match featuring him on Collision earlier this year. Because of this, he saw a potential rematch against Moriarty as a tiebreaker.

“I don’t know how much more time I’ve got to wrestle, or how many matches I got in me. But I know one of them needs to be with you,” McGuinness said about Moriarty in a recent promo.

Moriarty has held ROH’s Pure title for nearly 500 days. McGuinness also has an impressive past with the belt, having held the title for 350 days from 2005 to 2006. The upcoming bout will be the first in-ring appearance from McGuinness since Forbidden Door in August.

We now also know who will face off in a matchup for the vacant ROH World Tag Team Championships.

The Beast Mortos and Sammy Guevara will take on Tommy Billington and Adam Priest for the titles, ROH announced today.

Due to an injury, Rush ended his title reign alongside Guevara this week. La Faccion Ingobernable will try to keep the championships within the family when Guevara and Mortos team up. The match will notably be double duty for Mortos and Guevara, who are also booked to compete in a six-way main event.

Priest and Billington have worked as a duo on AEW and ROH programming since September. They picked up a trios win alongside Jay Lethal on a recent episode of ROH on HonorClub, beating The Dark Order last month.
