Broadcaster Pat McAfee is reportedly expected to re-emerge on WWE programming soon.

The sports media personality hasn’t been a frequent voice face on WWE’s commentary teams since June 2025, but that’s expected to change. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select wrote on Thursday that the ESPN figure is likely to make his way back to WWE programming sometime soon, although his exact return date or future schedule with the company isn’t known at the moment.

McAfee has been an on-and-off commentator for WWE since 2021, serving as part of the broadcast teams for both Smackdown and Raw. He spent the first half of 2025 commentating WWE’s Monday Night program alongside Michael Cole, and served as part of the broadcast team for Wrestlemania 41 last year.

McAfee, who remains a prominent figure in professional football and American sports discourse circles, has largely been away from WWE’s programming for months, citing mental exhaustion and burnout. While he returned for Wrestlepalooza back in September, he has otherwise been absent for over half a year.

It seems like that could change amid WWE’s annual Road to Wrestlemania.
