WWE’s masked man identified as student of Seth Rollins’ wrestling school

The mystery attacker who has been targeting The Vision on WWE television was unmasked on Friday’s edition of SmackDown, but the reveal may not be the end of the angle.

Logan Paul pulled off the mask during the main event and exposed a man the broadcast team did not identify.

The unmasking happened during an Elimination Chamber qualifier between Paul and Jacob Fatu. As the match spilled to ringside, the masked figure struck Austin Theory, prompting Paul to jump him and remove the disguise before officials escorted the attacker away.

After the show, several social media accounts identified the performer as independent wrestler Don Furio.

Furio’s training background includes Seth Rollins’ Black & Brave Wrestling Academy in Davenport, Iowa, as well as Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory in Norcross, Georgia.

Rollins has previously spotlighted Furio on Instagram, writing that Furio started training under Mid-Atlantic veteran George South and debuted in 2018 in a tag match alongside Lucky Ali (also known to WWE viewers as Saquon Shugars).

The bio added that Furio later graduated from both Black & Brave and the Nightmare Factory in 2021. Since then, Furio has worked regularly across the Carolinas and has appeared on televised wrestling, including minor appearances on NXT and AEW.

Still, the storyline context makes it difficult to treat the SmackDown unmasking as a clean resolution. The masked attacker has repeatedly used Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp, and leaned into Rollins-like body language, which has been presented as an intentional clue on WWE programming in recent months.

For now, Furio’s name has been attached to the segment externally rather than on-air, and the possibility remains that WWE is using the reveal to steer viewers away from the bigger question of whether Rollins himself is still the endgame of the angle.
