TBS Champion Willow Nightingale retained her title against Lena Kross before suffering a post-match assault.

The championship encounter took place during the AEW Revolution Zero Hour pre-show. Megan Bayne joined Kross in the ring immediately after the bell to beat down the champion.

Harley Cameron sprinted to the ringside area carrying a pipe to make the save. She successfully cleared the ring of both attackers.

Kross drove Nightingale shoulder-first into the barricade early in the match. The champion clutched her left arm throughout the remainder of the contest.

The challenger maintained firm control for extended periods and executed a modified TKO for a near-fall. She subsequently missed a split-legged moonsault attempt from the ropes. Nightingale then countered a Jack Hammer setup into a backslide to secure the pinfall victory.

The four competitors will face off again later on the main card for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships.
