Mustafa Ali vs. BDE

TNA Thursday Night Impact kicked off with Order 4’s Mustafa Ali taking on BDE. Ali came out more aggressive than usual as he attempted to fend off BDE’s high-flying offense. BDE continued his attempts to take out Ali, but Ali hit a massive Powerbomb followed by Dance with the Devil for the win. Order 4 jumped Rich Swann after the match until Trey Miguel made the save. Miguel was quickly overwhelmed until Jada Stone hit the ring, taking out Ali. Special Agent Zero picked Stone up for a chokeslam, but Miguel pulled her from the ring.

Mike Santana and Leon Slater were interviewed backstage, addressing their opponents for tonight and tomorrow night at Sacrifice. Daria Rae interrupted and reminded Santana that his title will be vacated if he touches Steve Maclin.

Brian Myers vs. Jeff Hardy

The next match saw Jeff Hardy taking on The System’s Brian Myers. Myers quickly gained control of the match, with Hardy fighting from underneath. Hardy went for a Twist of Fate, but Myers was able to counter it into an Implant DDT. Jeff then successfully hit an ugly-looking Twist of Fate, followed by the Swanton Bomb for the win. The System attacked after the bell with The Righteous running in to make the save. At this point, it was apparent that this was practically a mirror image of what happened in the opening match. This left Bear Bronson alone in the ring, and Moose appeared for their scheduled match.

Moose vs. Bear Bronson

After a commercial break, the bell rang, and this match was on. Moose started off taking it to Bronson, but he was thwarted by an eye gouge as Bronson yelled that he replaced him in The System. Bronson hit a suplex on the outside as the show went to an ad break. Upon return, Bronson hit Moose with a Superplex, who kicked out before the one count. Moose seemingly had the match won when The System came down to ringside, only to have Moose’s former NFL teammates in the front row block them from interfering. This allowed Moose to hit the Spear on Bronson for the win. Moose celebrated with his teammates and Alisha Edwards as the segment came to an end.

Mara Sade was briefly interviewed backstage, then cut to a different angle where she was handed a note reading “Follow the Rabbit”. Sade obliged, following the rabbit, but the screen read “To Be Continued” before anything of note happened.

The System cut backstage promo, addressing Moose, The Hardys, Santana & Slater separately, saying they weren’t done with any of them and they were taking what belonged to them. As they left, the Righteous appeared looking mischievous.

Six-Woman Tag Match

Next up was Tessa Blanchard, Mila Moore, and Victoria Crawford taking on Harley Hudson, Nyla Grace, and Jody Threat. Early on, Grace and Hudson worked in tandem to give the face team the momentum over Crawford. Jody Threat got the tag and awkwardly set up all three opponents on the bottom rope. Threat hit supelexes to all three, but Blanchard dropped her injured ribs first onto the steel steps. Tessa Blanchard then hit the Buzzsaw on Nyla Grace for the pinfall victory. Something happened here that might have indicated an injury to Victoria Crawford as well.

Injury Report

  • Indi Hartwell – knee injury progressing, but not medically yet
  • Ash by Elegance – mental health concerns from harassment – taking time away
  • Leon Slater – neck still not 100%, but is cleared for tonight’s match

Wrath

The next “sin” segment with Rosemary aired, with Crazy Steve appearing alongside Allie.

Eric Young vs. Brad Attitude

The next match saw Brad Attitude taking on Eric Young, who jumped Attitude before the bell. Attitude got some offense in, including a dive to the outside, but ultimately succumbed to a piledriver. Young chased the referee out of the ring after the match and almost killed himself running into the crowd.

Matt Hardy was laid out in a stairwell, and The Righteous entered, claiming that Myers and Edwards did it. Matt Hardy was screaming in agony and said: “They hit me from behind! They came from behind, whoever it was”. Incredible writing and acting here.

Buff Bagwell

WCW Legend Buff Bagwell was interviewed, talking about the amputation of his leg this past Summer. Bagwell apologized for his behavior over the last twenty years and asked for the chance to compete in one final match. Frankie Kazarian appeared, calling Bagwell pathetic, which brought out Elijah, who chased Kazarian off and told Bagwell no one would stop him from living out his dream.

Santino Marella announced that Matt Hardy was injured and not cleared for action. The Righteous entered and again claimed that it was The System that perpetrated the attack. Vincent offered himself up to take Jeff’s place in the match against Myers and Alexander.

Dani Luna cut a promo about finally getting her shot at the TNA Knockouts title at Sacrifice.

Main Event

The main event of the night saw Mike Santana and Leon Slater teaming up to take on The System’s Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander. After a commercial break, Slater was in control until a referee distraction allowed The System to take over. Things built to a hot tag to Santana, who hit a Rolling Buck Fifty for a near fall. Slater and Santana showed off some tandem moves, following that up with a STB attempt from Santana that missed. A Backpack Stunner from Edwards and a Splash from Alexander resulted in a two-count. A Boston Knee Party from Edwards was missed, and Santana hit a big dive onto both opponents on the outside. Steve Maclin appeared, attacking Leon Slater as the referee had disappeared for some reason, so no DQ was called. Edwards hit Santana with the Boston Knee Party, and the referee reappeared for the three-count.
