Will Ospreay returns to New Japan Pro Wrestling at Sakura Genesis.
The AEW wrestler returned from double neck fusion surgery at the Revolution pay-per-view and has been added to the Sakura Genesis show on April 4.
Ospreay will team with United Empire’s HENARE and Great O-Khan against Yuya Uemura, Taichi & El Desperado. It will be Ospreay’s first match in Japan since his New Japan farewell in February 2024.
Ospreay appeared at New Year Dash and told Callum Newman he would return to NJPW. As Ospreay turned his back, Newman was about to attack his mentor when the other members stopped him.
Newman will challenge IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji in the main event of Sakura Genesis at Sumo Hall.
