You’d think that one week away from Wrestlemania weekend, a time where nearly every brand and wrestler in the world descends on one city, there would be a shortage of wrestling to watch. Think again. This weekend has big lineups from both AEW and TNA, as well as other notable action going down in Canada, Mexico and Japan.
We’ve picked out 11 shows to consider for this weekend, plus where and when you can catch each one. Let’s get started.
Friday
WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network
The highly controversial reveal of Pat McAfee being Randy Orton’s guiding voice will get its follow-up segment tonight when WWE Friday Night Smackdown goes live from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. A week after the critically panned segment, how will Orton’s feud with Cody Rhodes be written?
With just over a week until Wrestlemania, it’s not surprising that tonight’s show is mainly focused on angles to build the matches set for the show. We’re expected to see Drew McIntyre speak on Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn to address Trick Williams. In the sole non-Wrestlemania part of the show announced thus far, it’s expected that we’ll see the long-awaited TV debut of ex-AEW star Royce Keys, competing in his home state of Cali.
- Cody Rhodes responds to Randy Orton & Pat McAfee
- Drew McIntyre says he will expose Jacob Fatu
- Sami Zayn to appear and address Wrestlemania opponent Trick Williams
- Royce Keys in action
Saturday
Mystery Wrestling 24 / 5 p.m. ET / Youtube
It’s a busy weekend full of professional wrestling in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Not only is AEW making the trip out west for the festivities over the next few days, but Quebec-based Mystery Wrestling as well as Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling will be presenting cards. Whether you’re in the city or watching online, there’s lots of Vancouver action to watch coming up.
First up will be Evil Uno’s Mystery Wrestling, which will go live with a late-afternoon card on Saturday. As is always the case with Mystery Wrestling cards, little is known about the lineup or who will even appear (hence the “Mystery” part). But, even though we know nothing apart from KENTA being booked to appear, it’s almost a guarantee that the show will be a blast, as they have quite the solid hit-rate with delivering on these cards.
- KENTA in action
AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT
A taped edition of AEW Collision will air on Saturday night, providing a mix of matchups made to preview Dynasty fights and some other special attraction bouts.
In a preview of this weekend’s top women’s title match, champ Thekla will team with Marina Shafir to face Dynasty opponent Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor. The Young Bucks, who are set to face Don Callis’ Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita on Sunday, will first look to get past Callis’ lucha duo of El Clon and Hechicero.
Former NJPW trio The Dogs will try for their first AEW gold when they tag on trios champs Kevin Knight, Speedball Bailey and Mistico. The other title match will see International champ Kazuchika Okada meet Myron Reed of The Rascalz. The Hurt Syndicate will also team up for the first time in months.
Given the fact that Dynasty is still only nine bouts in total, it wouldn’t surprise me if we got a few last-minute additions to the pay-per-view on Saturday’s broadcast.
- The Hurt Syndicate in action
- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. El Clon & Hechicero
- Thekla & Marina Shafir vs. Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor
- Rush vs. Anthony Bowens (Winner Gets #2 Spot in AEW Dynasty Casino Gauntlet)
- Kazuchika Okada vs. Myron Reed (AEW International Championship)
- Kevin Knight, Speedball Bailey & Mistico vs. David Finlay, Gabe Kidd & Clark Connors (AEW World Trios Championships)
TNA Rebellion / 8 p.m. ET / TNA+
TNA Wrestling will present a Saturday night card from Cleveland, Ohio, titled Rebellion. The long-awaited TNA World Championship shot that The System leader Eddie Edwards earned during Feast or Fired will be cashed in this weekend, taking on Mike Santana in the main event. Will the newly rebirthed heel faction gain some gold? Or will Santana continue what has been a strong run with the belt?
Other notable matchups include: Cruiserweight vet Cedric Alexander facing X-Division champ Leon Slater, Cleveland’s own Nic Nemeth battling with AJ Francis, Lei Ying Lee challenging NXT’s Arianna Grace in a rematch for the Knockouts title, and a blast from the past, as Mickie James, ODB and Taryn Terrell will take on the Elegance Brand.
- Mickie James, ODB & Taryn Terrell vs. Ash, Heather & M By Elegance
- Special Agent 0 vs. Moose
- Nic Nemeth vs. AJ Francis
- Frankie Kazarian vs. Elijah
- Trey Miguel vs. Mustafa Ali (TNA International Championship)
- Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander (TNA X-Division Championship)
- Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy vs. Bear Bronson & Brian Myers (TNA World Tag Team Championships)
- Arianna Grace vs. Lei Ying Lee (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
- Mike Santana vs. Eddie Edwards (TNA World Championship)
TJPW Vancouver Premiere Day 1 / 10 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
Tokyo Joshi Pro will make its Canada debut on Saturday night, presenting the first of two nights from the Great Canadian Hastings Racecourse & Casino in Vancouver, British Columbia. TJPW has brought over some of their top names for their doubleheader in Vancouver, including newly-crowned Princess of Princess Champion Yuki Arai, former champ Miu Watanabe, and Miyu Yamashita.
A bout worth keeping an eye out for on this one is the pairing between TJPW’s Suzume and Canadian indie vet Alexia Nicole. They’re both underrated in their own right and could put on a fun one.
- Suzume vs. Alexia Nicole
- Miyu Yamashita & HIMAWARI vs. Liiza Hall & Nicole Matthews
- Yuki Kamifuku vs. Shino Suzuki
- Sakura Hattori & Toga vs. Pom Harajuku & Raku
- Uta Takami vs. Amira
- Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara vs. J-Rod & Miu Watanabe
Sunday
NOAH Apex Conquest 2026 in Nagoya / 2:30 a.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
The most notable card coming out of Japan this weekend is from NOAH, which will head to Nagoya for a title triple-header on Sunday.
It’s been a busy first 150 days as champ for Yoshiki Inamura, who has already defended his title five times. The former NXT star has established himself as the Team 2000X slayer of sorts over the past few months, taking down notable heel faction members like Masa Kitamiya, OZAWA, and Takashi Sugiura. He will try to turn back another member of that faction when he faces GHC National Champion Alpha Wolf this weekend.
NOAH’s tag divisions will be showcased earlier in the night, as both the heavyweight and junior heavyweight duos belts will be on the line.
- Hajime Ohara, Daiki Odashima & Aoi Takahashi vs. Manabu Soya, Black Mensore & Hayato Koyanagi
- Eita & Hiroto Tsuruya vs. Angel Reyes & RYUSEI
- Atsushi Kotoge, Muhammad Yone & Hi69 vs. Null, Tadasuke & Kai Fujimura
- Naomichi Marufuji, Kenoh & AMAKUDA vs. Tetsuya Endo, HAYATA & Katsumi Inahata
- Kaito Kiyomiya & Harutoki vs. Masa Kitamiya & Takashi Sugiura
- Dragon Bane & Alejandro vs. Kid Lykos & Kid Lykos II (GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships)
- Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI vs. OZAWA & Jun Masaoka (GHC Tag Team Championships)
- Yoshiki Inamura vs. Alpha Wolf (GHC Heavyweight Championship)
TJPW Vancouver Premiere Day 2 / 2:20 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
If you want an appetizer before AEW Dynasty goes down on Sunday evening, TJPW’s second day of action in Vancouver is worth checking out. A lot of the wrestlers set to appear on Saturday’s card will be here as well. The match I’m personally looking forward to is the bout between Miyu Yamashita and British Columbia’s own Nicole Matthews. Yamashita’s kick-heavy style is always a blast, and Matthews is an underrated star who could steal the show.
- HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki vs. Toga & Wakana Uehara
- Miyu Yamashita vs. Nicole Matthews
- Miu Watanabe vs. Cherry Blossom
- Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. Liiza Hall & Uta Takami
- Yuki Kamifuku vs. Kristara
- Yuki Arai & Suzume vs. Sakura Hattori & J-Rod
AEW Dynasty / 8 p.m. ET / PPV
The biggest card of the weekend will go last, as AEW will visit the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Sunday evening for Dynasty.
The main event is an easy sell: For the first time in front of his home country supporters, Kenny Omega will challenge for the AEW World Championship, meeting MJF in a second-ever one-on-one encounter. Looking to avenge a loss he took when he first met MJF on a 2023 episode of Collision, Omega will try to end his title reign and begin his second run with the belt. It’s a title opportunity Omega earned just last month, taking Swerve Strickland’s #1 contender status in an epic 20-minute battle.
There’s a fair amount of Canadiana earlier in the card, too: Chris Jericho will wrestle for the first time in over a year when he takes on Ricochet, and the duo of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will be out for revenge when they take on AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR.
Personally, one of the sleeper matches on the card is Andrade El Idolo’s singles appearance against Darby Allin, a match that puts two hot singles talents against eachother. And, I’m also really looking forward to Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay, the first major match for Ospreay since his return.
This card didn’t get as big a build-up as Revolution, which AEW spent months preparing for. But, within the short four-week build this show got, AEW whipped together an appetizing pay-per-view card:
- Alex Windsor vs. Marina Shafir (Zero Hour)
- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita
- Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet
- Casino Gauntlet Match for Vacant TNT Championship
- Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin
- Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay (AEW Continental Championship)
- Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage (AEW World Tag Team Championships)
- Thekla vs. Jamie Hayter (AEW Women’s World Championship)
- MJF vs. Kenny Omega (AEW World Championship)
Three more options to consider…
- AEW’s Megan Bayne and Billie Starkz will be making the trip over to England this Friday to appear as part of Pro Wrestling EVE’s Bruised, Battered & Hungover! card. The event is EVE’s first since their massive Wrestle Queendom show, which was an overpowered celebration of women’s wrestling. (Youtube)
- A rare live edition of AAA on FOX will take place tomorrow night, live from Mexico City. The one-hour program will include a match between WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta and El Hijo del Vikingo, who will be meeting in a one-on-one match for the first time in over two years. (Youtube)
- Joshi promotion Sendai Girls has a really strong lineup set for this Sunday in Korakuen Hall. The co-main will see Chihiro Hashimoto take on STARDOM’s Syuri, which could be a banger. I’m also interested to see a matchup between Senka Akatsuki and Spike Nishimura earlier in the night, pairing two of the scene’s more intriguing up-and-comers against eachother. (Wrestle Universe)
