The UFC scored another impressive audience on CBS this past weekend with a two-hour window featuring the card from Miami.
The promotion aired on the network from 9 – 10:18 p.m. ET with the final hour of the preliminary card and first hour of the main card of UFC 327. The prelims were headlined by Aaron Pico’s decision win over Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, and the main card opened with Cub Swanson’s retirement fight against Nate Landwehr.
The prelim hour averaged 2,518,000 viewers and 0.60 in the 18-49 demographic and grew in the second hour to 2,766,000 viewers and 0.80.
The UFC led the night on broadcast and cable television with Fox’s coverage of MLB finishing second with a 0.43 in the 18-49 demographic.
The male audience was through the roof with 0.79 in 18-49 during the first hour and grew to 1.04 in the second hour. Women in the core demo did a 0.40 in the first hour and 0.57 in the second.
Adults 18-34 did 0.52 and 0.65 in the respective hours, and adults 25-54 did 0.71 and 0.93, respectively.
The UFC 326 broadcast on March 7 averaged 2,474,000 viewers over two hours, with a 0.50 in 18-49 for the first hour and 0.90 for the second. The audience peaked in the second hour at just over 3.2 million viewers.
The UFC’s next premium live event is May 9 from the Prudential Center in New Jersey and airs head-to-head with WWE Backlash on ESPN Unlimited in the U.S.
