The first UFC video game in nearly three years is set for its release this summer.

EA UFC 6 is scheduled for a June 19 release on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as confirmed on Monday. The game was confirmed shortly after rumors about the upcoming game surfaced in recent days.

Unlike other sports franchises like WWE 2K, NBA 2K or EA Sports FC, UFC’s video game series doesn’t release on an annual schedule. Instead, the games come out every few years. The upcoming game is the first to be released since EA UFC 5, which came out in October 2023.

While more details regarding the upcoming game will be unveiled at a later date, a brief description of the new title can be found on EA’s official site:

EA SPORTS™ UFC® 6 is powered by fighters. Evolved striking and motion systems bring UFC stars to life in the Octagon, while new game modes introduce immersive storytelling that makes every fight feel personal. Square up and fight your fight.

Former UFC Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira will grace the cover of the game. Ex-featherweight king Max Holloway will be the cover athlete for the special “Ultimate Edition” of the game.

Pre-orders are currently available for the game on the Xbox and Playstation stores. Fans who pre-order the “Ultimate” version of the game will get to access it a week earlier than the regular release date.
