AEW Double or Nothing: Team Jericho wins hectic Stadium Stampede

After a half-hour presentation full of scene changes, surprise appearances, and “firsts” for professional wrestling, it was the babyface team who emerged victorious in the largest AEW Stadium Stampede to date.

Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Jack Perry, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin won a 31-minute Stampede against Ricochet, Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis, Clark Connors, and Davis Finlay. With all of his teammates wiped out at ringside and unable to save him, Kaun was pinned after taking a seven-way Superkick and a Lionsault from Jericho.

The hectic, at-times hard-to-follow match had no shortage of memorable moments.

An exchange between the Hurt Syndicate and Gates of Agony spilled into the backstage area, where there was a cameo from “Blackheart” Lio Rush. The Dogs and Young Bucks brawled into the concessions area, where a superkick dropped Clark Connors and sent him up an escalator.

Andrade went for his usual selfie at ringside with a couple of lucky women. However, when he went for the photo, he found himself face-to-face with Jack Perry ally Luchasaurus, who caught him in the face with mist.

Perry and Davis brawling into AEW’s catering area included a cameo from viral sensation and GCW alum Mr. Invincible, who was dropped by a forearm. Elsewhere in catering, Omega pushed Andrade into the towering Satnam Singh, causing him to incite a food fight.

Perry later used his Jurassic Express bus to seemingly run over Mark Davis outside the venue. Luther also briefly appeared backstage, handing Jericho a massive tennis racket to use as a weapon against Ricochet.

This year’s Stadium Stampede match started with a feud between Chris Jericho and Ricochet’s faction, The Demand. Ricochet said he wanted to beat Jericho at his own match, as the AEW pioneer first introduced the multi-man stipulation bout back in 2020.

In the weeks that followed after Ricochet’s challenge, both sides equipped teammates that eventually made it the biggest Stadium Stampede to date.
