IWGP Tag Team Champions HENARE and Great-O-Khan are looking for opponents at Forbidden Door.

The United Empire team does not currently have a match announced for the June 28 pay-per-view at the SAP Center in San Jose.

HENARE responded to an NJPW post promoting the event on X, writing:

“O-Khan and I are ready for anyone who wants to step up.”

After no team immediately answered, HENARE followed up:

“No team responded to HENARE’s call to battle. Where has the mana gone?”

Gates of Agony later responded to the challenge. Toa Liona posted a picture of himself facing HENARE from the 2023 NJPW World Tag League.

AEW and NJPW have not announced a match between the teams as of this writing.

HENARE and Great-O-Khan began their second reign as IWGP Tag Team Champions at Dominion on June 14, defeating the Knockout Brothers of OSKAR and Yuto-Ice at Osaka-jo Hall.

If the champions are added to the card, it would give Forbidden Door a second NJPW championship match. Shota Umino is scheduled to defend the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against PAC at the show.
