Destiny of the King

Monday Night Raw from London kicked off with Oba Femi cutting an in-ring promo saying that it is his destiny to become King of the Ring this weekend at Night of Champions. Femi wondered aloud which title he would go for after he wins, with the crowd reacting big to the possibility of him facing Roman Reigns. This brought out Jey Uso, who said he was going to shock the world, beat him to become King of the Ring, and then defeat Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Femi told Jey he wasn’t the family member he was worried about.

LA Knight approached Adam Pearce backstage and continued his claim that Pearce was in cahoots with The Bloodline after what happened last week. Jimmy Uso interrupted and complained that he had LA’s back last week, but Knight hit him with a chair. Pearce freaked out and made a match between the two for later tonight.

Women’s Tag Team Championship

The first match of the night saw Paige and Brie Bella defending their tag titles against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. The challengers were interviewed before they made their way to the ring, and Lyra said they “needed” this, and it was all or nothing. Lyra jumped Paige as the bell rang, giving her team the advantage at the start. After a commercial break. things built to a hot tag to Paige, but Lyra reversed her offense into a Nightwing, as Brie made the save. Lyra hit a Fisherman Buster, and Paige no-sold it, hitting Rampaige for the win.

After the match, Lyra turned on Bayley and attacked her, hitting her with the Nightwing as officials attempted to stop her.

Gable’s Apology Tour Continues

Chad Gable and his incredible new theme music was next, and he invited Otis, Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri to the ring. Gable went through each person and said the way he treated them was pathetic and embarrassing, getting visibly emotional when he got to Otis. Gable apologized, and Otis paused before shaking Gable’s hand. Maxxine got on the mic and said that everything about him was a lie and that she wouldn’t give him a second chance. She continued, saying she had fulfilled Chad’s dream of becoming Intercontinental Champion, and that she realized they never needed him. With that, she stormed off as Otis and Tozawa reluctantly followed.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio told Dragon Lee to teach Ethan Page some respect. Penta appeared and wished Lee luck as well.

Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page

Next, Dragon Lee took on Ethan Page in a singles contest. Lee started off the match with a big dive onto Page on the outside. Page was able to take over after rotating Lee’s mask and knocking him to the outside. After a commercial, Dragon Lee hit a Springboard Tornado DDT for a near fall. Lee hit a crazy dive onto Page on the announce table as he flipped over the table, onto his feet, and into the barricade. Page then used his head to hit Lee with a low blow in direct view of the referee, who was perfectly fine with it for some reason. Page hit the Egoplex for the win.

The Vision was interviewed backstage ahead of their title match against The Street Profits later tonight.

A Sol Ruca vignette aired in which she said she was a thrill seeker and sometimes made a fool of herself.

Iyo Sky was interviewed in the ring next ahead of her Queen of the Ring final match against Liv Morgan. Morgan interrupted the interview, saying she was going to win at Night of Champions and then embarrass Rhea Ripley to take her title. The two started brawling, and Iyo hit her with a Springboard Missile Dropkick, sending her packing.

Jimmy Uso was warming up backstage when Jey and Jacob entered. Jey asked why Jacob was talking to Solo on SmackDown last week. Fatu said that Solo got the message and now they have to wait.

Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh approached Danhausen backstage, asking where their money is. Danhausen cursed McDonagh, and he got electrocuted by Danhausen’s equipment.

LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso

Next, LA Knight took on Jimmy Uso after their clash last week. The two battled back and forth, and after a commercial break, the match remained even with both men getting their offense in and neither developing a clear advantage.

Solo Sikoa then appeared out of the crowd and hit the Samoan Spike on Jimmy, to the shock of LA Knight. Knight hit the BFT for the win and stared down Solo, who left through the crowd.

The Street Profits were interviewed backstage ahead of their title match against The Vision in the main event, coming up next.  After that, Bayley brushed off an interview about what Lyra did to her tonight. Judgment Day was in their clubhouse, and Raquel complained to Liv Morgan that she hadn’t seen that they were struggling. Liv refocused the group, saying that Rodriguez would be the next IC champion, that JD & Dom needed to focus on Penta. Roxanne asked what about her, but Liv said they had to take JD to medical.

Footage aired from earlier in the day with Corey Graves sitting down with Seth Rollins. Rollins gave credit to the Street Profits for helping him to be one match away from putting The Vision behind him. Seth finished by saying that his steel cage match with Bron Breakker will show the world who he really is, and he can finally resume his quest to regain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Dominik approached Chad Gable backstage, asking for his apology. Gable challenged Dominik for a match, but Dom said he could face JD, who was still shaking from being electrocuted.

World Tag Team Championship

The main event of the night saw The Vision defending their tag team titles against The Street Profits. The Vision jumped the Profits at the bell and took control of the early portion of the match. Michael Cole noted that Bronson Reed would likely be back soon, as he has been posting on social media and looks to be in great shape.

Things built to a hot tag to Angelo Dawkins and the Profits began to mount a comeback as they hit the Blockbuster off the top rope, only to have Logan Paul put Theory’s foot on the ropes. Logan was ejected by the referee, and Breakker hit a flying clothesline off the apron onto Dawkins on the announce table.

After a commercial break, they built to a hot tag again, this time to Montez Ford, as the London crowd chanted for CM Punk. The Vision double-teamed Ford, hitting the Bulldog off the top rope (Steiner-style), but Dawkins made the save. Breakker threw steel steps into the ring and was thrown into the ring post by Dawkins. Logan Paul reappeared at ringside and attempted to give The Vision the brass knuckles. Joe Hendry appeared and chased Logan off.

Theory went for the knuckles, but Seth Rollins’ music hit, and he appeared from the crowd. Rollins hit Theory with the knucks, and Breakker chased Rollins into the crowd. The Street Profits hit From the Heavens to win the tag titles for the fourth time.
