Every time you blink this weekend, you’ll miss a result in professional wrestling. AEW, WWE, TNA, NXT, they’re all presenting big shows over the next few days, giving viewers an abundance of options. Don’t know what to watch? Here’s a preview of every notable show set to go down over the next few days, plus when and where to catch it all.
Friday
WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network
What looks to be potentially the last three-hour edition of Friday Night Smackdown for some time will air tonight. Tonight’s episode, which was taped earlier this week in London, England, will take place a little over 12 hours before Night of Champions. The PLE’s headliners, Undisputed champ Cody Rhodes as well as opponents Sami Zayn and Gunther, are expected to appear as part of the episode. We know that numerous matchups are set to take place, including an AAA cruiserweight title match, England’s own Paige in singles action, and more.

- Cody Rhodes, Gunther & Sami Zayn to appear
CMLL Viernes Espectacular / 10:30 p.m. ET / Youtube
Why not kick off your Forbidden Door weekend with some CMLL and AEW collaboration? Tonight’s Arena Mexico card will be headlined by ROH tag champs The Beast Mortos and Sammy Guevara from La Faccion Ingobernable defending against the famous duo of Mistico and Mascara Dorada. Will two-thirds of El Sky Team head into Forbidden Door with more gold? Or can Guevara and Mortos pull off the upset?
- Hijo del Pantera & Panera Jr. vs. Infarto & Cerebro Negro Jr.
- Tessa Blanchard & Garra Negra vs. Persephone & Keyra
- Dragon Rojo Jr., Dragon de Fuego & Dragon Legendario vs. Barbaro Cavernario, Villano III Jr. & El Hijo del Villano III

- Flip Gordon & Titan vs. Volador Jr. & Hechicero
- Mistico & Mascara Dorada vs. The Beast Mortos & Sammy Guevara (ROH World Tag Team Championships)
Saturday
WWE Night of Champions / 1 p.m. ET / ESPN Unlimited
The action will get started early on Saturday, as WWE is heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia tomorrow for Night of Champions. The biggest title match of the night sees Cody Rhodes attempt to beat Gunther for the fourth and final time, while also taking down friend-turned-rival Sami Zayn as part of a three-way bout.
The Queen and King of the Ring finals will wrap up as part of the show as well. Oba Femi is one win away from getting his first post-call-up title shot, but he has to get past former champ Jey Uso first. And Liv Morgan is chasing double-champ status, but can’t go after Rhea Ripley’s belt until she beats the accomplished IYO SKY, who is not one to be overlooked.
Other notable bouts on the card include Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker having their trilogy match in a steel cage, and Ricky Saints chasing his first main roster belt in a showdown against Trick Williams.
- IYO SKY vs. Liv Morgan (Queen of the Ring Finals)
- Jey Uso vs. Oba Femi (King of the Ring Finals)
- Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker (Steel Cage Match)
- Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill (WWE Women’s United States Championship)
- Trick Williams vs. Ricky Saints (WWE United States Champion)
- Cody Rhodes vs. Sami Zayn vs. Gunther (Undisputed WWE Championship)
AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT
A taped edition of AEW Collision tomorrow night serves as a solid preview for Sunday night’s Forbidden Door. The main event will highlight one of the more interesting bouts from Sunday’s show, as Owen Hart tournament finalists Mercedes Moné and Maya World will be on opposite sides of a tag bout. I think Kevin Knight vs. Dezmond Xaiver and Persephone vs. Billie Starkz could be some fun, too. Honestly, despite this being a low-stakes go-home show, I think most matches here could be great and worthwhile.
- Jake Doyle vs. Adam Priest
- Mistico & Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Tony Nese & Ari Daivari
- Jericho vs. JD Drake
- Persephone vs. Billie Starkz (Women’s CMLL World Championship)
- Kevin Knight vs. Dezmond Xavier (TNT Championship)
- Mercedes Moné & Athena vs. Maya World & Hyan
GCW Amerikaz Most Wanted / 11 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+
If you’re craving some independent wrestling action amid a busy weekend, GCW has two big shows going down. They’re getting started in Cali this Saturday, presenting Amerikaz Most Wanted from the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Stand-out matchups on this show include Atticus Cogar facing AEW’s Hook, “Blackheart” Lio Rush going head-to-head with Shotzi Blackheart, and Starboy Charlie (or Chazz Hall, depending on who he’s wrestling for) facing Nick Gage.
GCW is also scheduled to go live on Sunday with a show from Arizona. However, I’d argue this is the show to catch of the two.
- Nick Gage vs. Starboy Charlie
- Joey Janela vs. Haley J
- KJ Orso & Sam Stackhouse vs. 1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire
- Rey Horus & Vengador vs. Arez & Gringo Loco
- Alec Price & Jordan Oliver vs. The Butcher & The Blade
- Vipress vs. Slade
- Lio Rush vs. Shotzi Blackheart
- Atticus Cogar vs. Hook (GCW World Championship)
Sunday
TNA Slammiversary / 4 p.m. ET / TNA+
In a weekend that sees WWE, NXT and AEW all present high-level shows, it’s easy to forget that TNA also has one of their top events of the year going down. Slammiversary will have a late-afternoon start on Sunday, providing some room for viewers to maybe catch some of the card before switching on a different event. TNA’s big show will be headlined by Mike Santana defending his world title against 2025 Call Your Shot trophy winner Nic Nemeth. With all the talk around Santana reportedly entering free agency soon, and just the fact that Nemeth is one of the brand’s bigger names, I wouldn’t be surprised if a title change happens there.
The show also includes former teammates Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside battling for the Knockouts title, a Hardys ladder match in the tag division, and Amazing Red making his long-awaited TNA return as part of an Ultimate X match. TNA will understandably be skipped by many wrestling fans, who, after watching some weekly TV and PPV action will want to cap their wrestling consumption this weekend to a healthy 10 hours. But if you’re a sicko who wants to fit something in before the evening on Sunday, TNA is available to watch.
- Eric Young vs. Ricky Sosa
- Elijah vs. AJ Francis
- Eddie Edwards vs. Moose
- Mustafa Ali defends TNA International Championship
- Cedric Alexnder vs. Amazing Red vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Fabian Aichner vs. KC Navarro vs. Mr. Elegance vs. Leon Slater (TNA X-Division Championship) (Ultimate X Match)
- Heather & M By Elegance vs. Allie & Rosemary (TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships)
- Bear Bronson & Brian Myers vs. Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy vs. Dutch & Vincent (TNA World Tag Team Championships) (Ladder Match)
- Lei Ying Lee vs. Xia Brookside (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
- Mike Santana vs. Nic Nemeth (TNA World Championship)
NXT Great American Bash / 7 p.m. ET / CW
For the first time ever, NXT will present a Premium Live Event (PLE) on The CW this Sunday, hosting Great American Bash from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The three-hour broadcast is set to be fast-paced, as they’re planning to squeeze seven bouts into the show.
We learned just yesterday that the rematch between NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice and Kendal Grey will deservedly headline the night. These two had an incredible showdown at Madison Square Garden Theatre earlier this year. Whether it’s the fast-rising Grey or the more experienced Vice who wins, that should be a highlight of the weekend.
The top men’s match will see Naraku (formerly EVIL) attempt to make a huge splash just months into his run in WWE, trying to take the NXT title off Tony D’Angelo. The champ will be coming into the bout at a disadvantage after taking a fireball to the face on Tuesday (yes, really).
Other matchups include former DarkState teammates Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox battling it out in a grudge match, and Zaria trying to defend her North American title for the first time when she meets Tatum Paxley in a rematch.
- Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox
- Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels
- Wren Sinclair vs. Arianna Grace (WWE Speed Women’s Championship)
- Zaria vs. Tatum Paxley (NXT Women’s North American Championship)
- Myles Borne vs. Tavion Heights (NXT North American Championship)
- Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey (NXT Women’s Championship)
- Tony D’Angelo vs. Naraku (NXT Championship)
AEW Forbidden Door / 8 p.m. ET / PPV
AEW’s annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view, which sees the brand collaborate with NJPW, STARDOM, and CMLL, will close out the weekend. Forbidden Door is a unique part of AEW’s schedule: Despite being a show that historically has had few top title changes, it remains one of the brand’s most important cards of the year and produces loads of memorable performances.
MJF won’t be defending his world title at Forbidden Door. Thekla will be wagering her belt, but honestly has pretty good odds of retaining. The IWGP world title is out of the picture, as are big titles from STARDOM or CMLL. But, Forbidden Door is maybe the one PPV of the year where these title absences really don’t matter. There are still loads of interesting bouts to look forward to.
Sunday’s show includes what should be a wild three-way tag bout between The Young Bucks, Sky Team and Unbound Company representatives in Shingo Takagi and Titan. Legends Kenny Omega and Zack Sabre Jr. will face off for the first time in a long time, and Starlight Kid will likely put on a great showing against Thekla. The six-on-six cage match main event, which earns Mark Briscoe a shot at MJF’s world title if his squad wins, could be some hectic fun.
Despite the collaborative bouts being a major part of the show, I’m arguably most looking forward to the Owen Hart Tournament finals. The women’s matchup sees Maya World, who was a last-minute addition to the tournament, attempt to complete her underdog run with a win over Mercedes Moné, who is also out to prove something after her last campaign with the TBS title ended the way it did in 2025.
While it seems obvious that Will Ospreay should win the men’s bracket, setting him up for a major title opportunity in his own home country at All In, his showing against Swerve Strickland should nonetheless be memorable.
Here’s everything that has been announced for Sunday night at the SAP Center:
- Maika vs. Skye Blue (TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifier) (Zero Hour)
- Lena Kross & Megan Bayne vs. Olympia & Thunder Rosa (AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships) (Zero Hour)
- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Mascara Dorada & Mistico vs. Shingo Takagi & Titan
- Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
- Shota Umino vs. PAC (IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship)
- Jon Moxley vs. Bandido (AEW Continental Championship)
- Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. Clark Connors & David Finlay (AEW World Tag Team Championships)
- Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay (Owen Hart Tournament Men’s Final)
- Mercedes Moné vs. Maya World (Owen Hart Tournament Women’s Final)
- Thekla vs. Starlight Kid (AEW Women’s World Championship)
- Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong vs. MJF, Andrade El Idolo, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, Kevin Knight & Kyle Fletcher (Steel Cage)
