AAA on Fox 6/27 Results: Copa Bardahl to return at TripleManía, Vikingo set for NXT crossover

Lola Vice successfully defended the NXT Women’s Championship against La Hiedra during Saturday’s taped broadcast of AAA on Fox.

Vice has a match against Kendal Grey at tomorrow’s NXT Great American Bash.

The show also featured crossover announcements between the two promotions. General Manager Rey Mysterio confirmed El Hijo del Vikingo will defend the AAA Latin American Championship on NXT television.

Perros Del Mal warning

A video promo from the newly reformed Perros Del Mal opened the broadcast. The faction stated they came from hell and plan to drag AAA back there with them.

Psycho Circus mystery

Psycho Clown gathered his Psycho Circus stablemates at the start of the show to address recent attacks on the group. Murder Clown, Panic Clown, and Dave The Clown could not identify their assailant.

The faction searched the backstage area for Pagano. They subsequently found him unconscious in a pool of blood. A message written in blood on a nearby mirror warned that the unknown attacker will target Psycho Clown next.

Copa Bardahl returns

AAA officially announced the return of the Copa Bardahl for Triplemanía 34 during a vignette highlighting last year’s battle royal. Omos won the match last year.

Triplemanía will take place across two nights on September 11 in Las Vegas and September 13 in Mexico City.

Galeno vs. Mecha Wolf

Galeno faced Mecha Wolf in singles action. Omos and Dorian Roldan appeared on the entrance ramp to observe the contest. Despite their distraction, Galeno secured the pinfall victory after executing the Galeno Special.

Rey Mysterio addresses the press

General Manager Rey Mysterio held a press conference segment during the broadcast. He announced the crossover news regarding El Hijo del Vikingo defending his title on NXT television, though an exact date was not provided. Mysterio additionally teased that an unnamed former WWE Champion will debut for AAA next week.

NXT Women’s Championship

Vice defended her title in the main event. The encounter spilled to the outside early, where La Hiedra capitalized by sending the champion into the steel steps.

Vice ultimately retained her championship after striking Hiedra with a spinning back fist. Las Tóxicas attacked Vice and La Catalina after the bell. Lady Shani promptly arrived to even the odds and clear the ring to close the show.
