Former WWE & AEW wrestler Jake Hager suffered a brutal eye injury at Thursday’s Power Slap event.
Hager, 44, was competing in Power Slap for the third time after previously knocking out Devin Jenkins and being knocked out by Amanpreet Singh (pro wrestler Mahabali Shera) in July.
At Power Slap 23, Hager was brutally stopped by Johnny Magna, resulting in Hager bleeding from the left eye and a doctor halting the contest. Hager complained of being hit in the eye.

Later in the show, Dana White said, “That’s probably one of the worst injuries we’ve had in UFC and Power Slap anything”. White speculated that he believed Hager’s tear duct was ruptured and was adamant about getting treatment for Hager.
White also noted that he refused to allow the production team to air a replay of Hager’s injury.
Hager was an NCAA Division I All-American at the University of Oklahoma before joining WWE, where he wrestled until 2017. Hager spent five years under contract with AEW until his deal expired.
