A pair of tag team title showdowns were confirmed for AEW Full Gear on Wednesday night.
Current AEW World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks were shockingly squashed out on this week’s episode of Dynamite, losing a title eliminator match in just a few minutes to Jake Doyle and Mark Davis.
The devastating loss set up a title rematch between the two squads, which has been confirmed for November 14 at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
It was also confirmed that a showdown between AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Brawling Birds and Wrathlander (Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander) has been added to the upcoming pay-per-view.
Wrathlander earned the title opportunity during Grand Slam: France earlier this month, winning a #1 contenders three-way match featuring Divine Dominion and Sisters of Sin.
Despite the tag title match being booked, Divine Dominion and Sisters of Sin look to disrupt those plans. They were seen attacking both Wrathlander and the Brawling Birds backstage on Wednesday night, with Megan Bayne commenting that both teams will be lucky if they even make it to Full Gear.
Here’s an updated look at Full Gear, which is just beginning to take shape:
- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Jake Doyle & Mark Davis (AEW World Tag Team Championships)
- Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter vs. Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander (AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships)
