More additions were made to the upcoming CMLL and NJPW co-promoted event, Lucha Kingdom.
Hechicero vs. Zack Sabre Jr. was already announced, but the match now is a title match, with Hechicero defending the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship. Sabre would be the first British wrestler to hold the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship if he beats Hechicero.
A singles match between Soberano Jr. and Shota Umino was added to Lucha Kingdom. The pair haven’t shared a ring since Fantasticamania in 2018.
Also added to the card is an eight-man tag, with Zandokan Jr., Difunto, Barboza and Furia Roja facing off against Kushida, Black Tiger (f.k.a. Magnus), Yutani and Shoma Kato.
El Desperado is scheduled to face Mistico, but he was taken out of the NJPW Junior Tag League, where he was set to team with Mistico. It’s unknown if El Desperado will be replaced for Lucha Kingdom.
Yota Tsuji was announced for Lucha Kingdom, but the IWGP Heavyweight Champion has yet to have a match announced for the event.
