Roxanne Perez is on top of the NXT women’s division for the second time in her career.
Perez dethroned Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday afternoon, tapping her out with the cross-face to regain the NXT Women’s Championship.
Perez had a back-and-forth battle with Valkyria, hitting her Canadian Destroyer finishing move before applying the submission to end the bout in 16 minutes. Perez put together more of her signature moves in the match, and a run-in from Tatum Paxley didn’t do much to help Valkyria in the closing minutes.
Perez is now just the third wrestler to become a two-time NXT women’s champ since the title was established in 2013.
She previously held the title for 109 days from late 2022 to early 2023, earning it with a win over Mandy Rose. She defended the belt twice, but later lost the title to Indi Hartwell in a six-way ladder match at last year’s Stand & Deliver card.
Valkyria dethroned Becky Lynch last October to begin her first singles title run in WWE. She defended the belt five times on TV and PLEs, including in a TV match that was against Perez and Lola Vice, who entered the match via cashing in her Breakout Tournament contract.
