The major news coming out of Sunday’s Royal Rumble was the appearance at the end of the show by former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

The UFC announced on Friday that a Champion vs. Champion bout has been signed with heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic set to defend his championship against reigning light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier this July.

In speaking to TMZ, Ronda Rousey has denied that she will be appearing at the Royal Rumble this Sunday and claims she will be out of the country until mid-February.

Vince McMahon will be holding a press conference today on behalf of Alpha Entertainment to make a “major sports announcement”.
