John Pollock & Nate Milton review Impact Wrestling’s ‘Slammiversary’ card from Toronto with Austin Aries vs. Moose for the Impact title, Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan in a Mask vs. Hair Match, Santana & Ortiz vs. Hernandez & Homicide, and we are joined by Wai Ting for a live report after attending the card.
Episode four sees Chris Charlton and Paul Lazenby look at 1992, which saw NJPW start a tradition of Tokyo Dome shows held on January 4, as well as PWFG stage their one and only Tokyo Dome show. Minoru Suzuki and Masakatsu Funaki had prominent spots on that card, and Paul shares some stories about both of them from his time in Pancrase.
Episode three sees Chris Charlton and Alan Counihan look at 1991, which saw NJPW stage a controversial double title match between Tatsumi Fujinami and Ric Flair, as well as SWS blowing up and quickly disappearing in a pair of big budget shows cross promoted with WWF and headlined by Hulk Hogan and Genichiro Tenryu.
