John Pollock and Wai Ting dig into the WWE Network’s newly released Coliseum Home Video Classics archive to review Battle at the Royal Albert Hall. Highlighted by a 20-Man Battle Royal for the “prestigious” Royal Samovar Trophy, the show features early 90’s appearances from Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, The Undertaker, The Legion of Doom and of course, The British Bulldog in his home country.
John Pollock reviews both New Beginning cards from this past weekend in Sapporo. The shows included an incredible main event between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Minoru Suzuki, an unbelievable junior heavyweight tag match, Kenny Omega defending the U.S. title against Jay White, and a big closing angle involving The Bullet Club.
John Pollock and Wai Ting travel back to March 2002 to review WrestleMania X-8 from The SkyDome in Toronto and review the show, featuring The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan, the build up the Undisputed title match starring “Lucy the Dog”, the odd pairings on the show, the changing face of the company and the status of Steve Austin during this time period.
The US title tournament reaches its unexpected conclusion as Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode, Mojo Rawley and Xavier Woods compete in the semi-finals AND finals; the Mixed Match Challenge debuts featuring Nakamura/Natalya vs Balor/Banks; members of the roster take turns cutting promos on their cellphones in selfie mode; TJP tries to hide his tears on 205 Live.
John Pollock and Wai Ting travel back to the night after WrestleMania 29 in 2013 for one of the more memorable editions of the show. It was the night Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, the audience revolted against Randy Orton and Sheamus, The Shield confronted The Undertaker, “Fandango-ing” was born and it all culminated with a three-minute, non-title affair between John Cena and Mark Henry!
