RESULTS: NXT TakeOver New York with Johnny Gargano’s title win

Results from Friday's NXT TakeOver: New York card at the Barclays Center with Johnny Gargano defeating Adam Cole to become the NXT champion and meeting congratulated by Tommaso Ciampa.

NXT TakeOver: New York took place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday night.

At the post-show press conference, Paul Levesque stated it was the highest attended and highest grossing event in NXT history.

*WALTER over Pete Dunne to win the NXT UK title in 25:30
*Shayna Baszler over Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and Kairi Sane in 15:42 to retain the NXT women’s title
*Johnny Gargano over Adam Cole in a 2-of-3 falls match in 38:11 to become the NXT champion

Highlights of the show included Tommaso Ciampa walking out as the credits appeared on the screen with Johnny Gargano celebrating with Candice LeRae. Ciampa hugged Gargano and the feud was over with Gargano finally winning the title.

KUSHIDA appeared in the crowd after a video aired earlier of the day with his signing.

Ricochet had a bad landing near the end of the tag title match he was said to be okay afterward.
