Kevin Owens was recently interviewed on the French program Et le but by host Pierre Houde for the Canadian outlet RDS where he revealed he is dealing with an injury.

Owens, who has not wrestled since his match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, noted he is dealing with an ankle injury stemming from the match. He added that he believes it is a sprain or slight fracture that will require X-rays to determine the extent of the problem.

While he did appear on the empty arena show up to and including WrestleMania, he is staying home during this time stating he prefers to be with his family:

It’s special that we were considered essential in the state of Florida, but maybe it’s a mentality where they think people need such distraction. The great thing about WWE is that it doesn’t require us to be there if we don’t want to. This is also why in the last two weeks I have not been present, because I preferred to be at home with my family.

Owens defeated Rollins on the first night of WrestleMania 36, which was highlighted by a dive executed by Owens off the WrestleMania sign through the announcer’s desk that Rollins was placed on.

In May 2018, Owens stated in an interview with TVA Sports that he had recently signed a five-year renewal with WWE, which would put the performer under contract with the company until 2023.
