AEW Dynamite notes: 8-man tournament announced, finals to take place at Full Gear

Multiple notes coming out of the 9/30 episode of Dynamite but the Full Gear-related news is that a tournament is taking place to determine the next challenger for the AEW World Title.

All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view is Full Gear which is scheduled for November 7th. The next challenger to the AEW World Championship will be determined at the PPV by way of an eight-man tournament. Thus far, Fenix, Jungle Boy and Kenny Omega have been announced for the tournament and the finals are taking place at Full Gear. The current champion Jon Moxley is scheduled to defend the gold against Lance Archer on the 10/14 episode of Dynamite. The winner coming out of that will await the tournament winner.

On next week’s program, Cody and Brodie Lee are clashing for the TNT Championship in a Dog Collar match. Lee defeated Cody in under five minutes to win the TNT Title in August.

Pac-Man and Donkey Kong game[s] world record holder Billy Mitchell appeared on Dynamite in a segment with Miro and Kip Sabian.

On the 10/7 edition of Dynamite which is being built around the 30th anniversary of Chris Jericho’s debut in wrestling, Jericho is teaming with Jake Hager to face Luther and Serpentico. The FTW Title will also be on the line as Brian Cage defends against Will Hobbs. The two men brawled after Cage attempted to interfere in Darby Allin and Ricky Starks’ match that opened the show.

Independent wrestler Anthony Bowens was in the crowd for Dynamite as well.
