On February 22nd, New Japan Pro-Wrestling shared the news that Hiromu Takahashi is going to miss an estimate of six months due to a left pectoral injury. Takahashi missed the 2/20 Road to Castle Attack show but wrestled the day prior.

Takahashi, who was in possession of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, appeared at today’s Road to Castle Attack event and relinquished the title. Takahashi won the title for a fourth time at this year’s Wrestle Kingdom event where he defeated Taiji Ishimori on night two.

Coming out to stake claim to the newly vacated title was El Desperado, BUSHI and El Phantasmo. It was BUSHI left standing at the conclusion of the exchange as he is looking to win the Junior Heavyweight Title for the second time in his career.

Hiromu’s Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemate Tetsuya Naito returned to action on 2/25 after missing several shows due to injury.
