NWA announces all women’s PPV for 8/28, Mickie James to produce

Mickie James & NWA are partnering up to present an all-women's pay-per-view. The following night, NWA is hosting their 73rd Anniversary event

To open the season premiere episode of NWA Powerrr on FITE TV, NWA owner Billy Corgan and Mickie James made the announcement that on August 28th, the NWA is hosting an all women’s pay-per-view that Mickie will be the executive producer of.

The following night on August 29th, NWA is going to present their 73rd Anniversary pay-per-view. Both of those events will emanate from St. Louis, Missouri.

Mickie James was released from WWE along with Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Samoa Joe and several more performers in April. Following her release, James appeared on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast and discussed the idea of wanting to do an all women’s event.

She worked backstage for WWE in a producer role during the period she was recovering from an injury.

At NWA’s ‘When Our Shadows Fall’ pay-per-view, the World Women’s Championship changed hands as Kamille defeated Serena Deeb. To read about that match and the full show, head over to POST Wrestling’s report about the event.
