AEW Dynamite scored an increase for its post-pay-per-view edition of the show where it finished third among cable originals behind the NBA.

The November 17th show from Norfolk, Virginia, averaged 983,000 viewers and 480,000 (0.37) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was the show’s best viewership since October 6th and equaled that night’s 18-49 audience. The viewership number was up by 8 percent from last week and the 18-49 figure increased by 7 percent.

If you figure in an 8 percent adjustment due to the Pacific and Mountain time zone regions airing the program live, it would work out to 1,063,000 viewers and 518,000 in 18-49.

The show was only topped by the two NBA games on ESPN. Dynamite went head-to-head with the L.A. Lakers vs. Milwaukee Bucks, which topped the charts with 1,474,000 viewers and 0.55 in 18-49.

AEW saw a big growth among Males 35-49 going from 198,000 last week to 246,000 this week, according to Brandon Thurston’s data.

Adults 18-34 were down 9 percent this week, but that concentrated with its male viewership dropping in the demo while females were up slightly.

Males 18-49 grew by 14 percent this week while the 12-34 demo was even with last week.

In Canada, AEW finished second among sports broadcasts as there was far less competition. Dynamite finished with 130,600 viewers (up 64 percent from last week’s average) and 71,500 in the 25-54 demo on TSN2 behind the Colorado Avalanche vs. Vancouver Canucks game. AEW was ahead of the NBA game on TSN. It was AEW’s best overall audience figure in Canada since the September 8th episode following All Out.
